Did you know that Dachshunds come in two different sizes! Standard and Miniature, they also come in a variety of colors and can be long hair short hair or a medium wire coat! They originated in Germany, this dog was historically not intended to become the easy-going lap dog it is today. Dachshunds were bred to be badger-hunting dogs, with their sensitive sense of smell and low-to-the-ground stature.  They are curious and friendly in nature.
